We had a good thanksgiving and christmas this year. My parent's and brother still have not got their gifts, so I hope they get them soon. We are ready to bring in the new year!!! That is about all the new things happening at our house. We are pretty boring and kind of home bodies. Matt finished the semester and passed all his classes except one he will take again in the Fall.

Well fall is coming to an end. Good thing cause this fall was very rough for our household. 1st Matt dropped a car at work and ruined the oil pan. Then Matt Sprained his foot at work. All the same work week. Then Matt and his friend Geoff went to go hunting. When they left the house it was already dark and it was snowing. I warned the boys that it was going to be cold and a lot more snowier in the moutains. But they went along anyway. Then about 1 in the morning I got a call from Matt saying that 1. he slipped of the road a little and his car got a good scratch on it from a post and 2. he was cold and last but not least 3. that he had slipped while digging a hole for a fire and he had lost his wedding ring. All he wanted to do was come home and that they did very fast. Matt felt so bad about losing his ring he went back to look for his ring 3 times with a metal detector in hand. We have had a very interesting fall. Maybe the winter will be better.
Well HALLOWEEN came and gone already I can't believe the year has gone by so fast. Matt and I both had to work but I did dress up. I was not the 50's girl again, I was a nurse. I bend down to much at work and so the 50's girl was not really a good costume to wear to work. After work I went home and handed out halloween candy all night it was ineresting to everyone's costume's. Some people are very inventive.
Karly's 6th Birthday
Well Matt and I were able to go down to Karly's
6th birthday party. We had to dress up for the party cause it was
a halloween party. Matt wanted to be a gorrilla but I said no
cause it was to hairy. So we found a monkey for him,
Matt loves monkey's they are his favorite animals.
I was a 50's girl. I wanted to be an 80's girl but I could not get the look down.
We had so much fun and it was good to see family.

What a crazy week and half it has been especially for Matt. First at work he was getting ready to jack someone's car up to change his tires and he was jacking up the car something shifted and the jack went through the guys oil pan.

Then a couple of days later Matt slipped on the ladder that they have in the pit and he sprained his foot. He just got off his crutches today thank goodness he only was out for a couple of days and only on the crutches for a week.

Now I must add what happened to FALL!!!! It went from short sleeve to coat weather overnight we already got snow. There was no Fall. It is cold and they say it is going to snow again tomarrow.

Homebound Montana!!!!
Besides Montana and Illinois we drove through 3 other states before we made it home.
We drove through Wisconson, Minnesota, and North Dakota.
We had so much fun coming back as well. There is so much to see and do.
Matt and I decided that some of these place we are going to have to revisit because we did not have enough time to see everything.
Wisconson there is so much to do there. We stopped at the Wisconson Dells which is just a big amusemnet and water park. It is just massive and it is the size of town like Bozeman, MT. I definaltly want to go back we did get to see the Top Secret place. Also Wisconson was one of the hardest places to find a state shot glass. For those of you who don't know I collect state shot glasses. I do collect random cute ones as well but I mostly collect the state ones. We finally did find a state shot glass at the last gas station in the state.
We finally got to Minnesota and we decided to stay in Minnapolis so we could go see the Mall of America the next day. What a neat city there was so much to do there we did not get to see. The Mall of America is huge when we thought we had cleared one level we moved to the next floor but when we looked outside there were all these other shops we did not see. They also have a Nickalodeon Universe with a ton of rides in it. There is really something for everyone to do there. May I advise you as well dress comfy and where tennis shoes cause your feet will be dying before you get done. After the mall we were back on the road again to North Dakota.
When we got to North Dakota we stayed in Fargo. There was tons of things to do in Fargo. We didn't get a chance to see everything there as well. We did see the Fargo Air Museum, Walk of Fame, and Bonanzaville. After we got done in Fargo we headed for home.
Next came great old Montana. I have deicede this was the longest part of our trip. Not the whole state but between Miles City and Billings there is absolutly nothing for like 140 miles. It is the boringest stretch of road I really ever been on so far. When we got to Billings it felt like we had been driving for like 5 hours on that stretch of road but we only drove for like 2. We eventually decided to stay the night in Billings even though we were only like an hour and half away from home.

We saw an in North Dakota and we also saw a tiny town called
"Home on the Range."

Bonanzaville is an old time town that has all this old stuff from the past from telephones, guns, books, automobiles, a church, school and houses. It makes you feel like you are in the western days or your like on that show Bonanzaville.

I am a huge Vikings fan and here is a store of just Viking stuff

So as I was reading our blog to Matt last night I was wrong about the location of the Mississippi River. It is on the border of Iowa and Illinois.
CHICAGO
While we were in chicago we went with my family to the Navy Pier.
We took the train to the city and when we got to the city we took
the bus to the Pier. I think this was the kid's first time taking the train and bus.
There are so many things that you can do on the pier. It over looks Lake Michigan and
from Lake Michigan weither you are on a boat or in the air there is an amazing view
of the city skyline.

Chicago Bound
Matt and I got married on Saturday and Monday we hit the road for
Chicago. We drove through 3 states not including Utah and Illinois before
we got to Chicago; Wyoming, Nebraska, and Iowa. We made one stop to eat in
Cheynne, Wyoming.
Wyoming was the slowest state to drive through cause literally they
had construction from the time we entered state until we left the state.
There was only maybe 15 miles of highway where we did not have construction.
We finally made it into Nebraska and just when we thougth we'd have a
break from all the construction at least for like 10 miles we ran into construction
in Nebraska. We finally made to Ogallala, Nebraka where we decided to stay the night.
Now Ogallala was a nice small town but I have never seen so many black bugs in
my life all over the place. The were everywhere. We decided to stop in
North Platte, Nebraska to see some the sights the town had to offer.
We saw a Railroad museum, we drove over one of the biggest
railroad yards in the U.S., we saw Buffalo Bill's house, and we saw
the 2oth Centrey Vetren's memorial. Our last stop in Nebraska was
Lincoln where we stop and ate at Cracker Barrell.
As we were on the border of Nebraska and Iowa we saw the Mississippi River
that thing is huge. We decided we were going to sleep in Des Moines but when we got there
all of the rooms were booked in the area and the closest place that we could
find a room was in Newton, Iowa which was another hour, hour and a half away.
We finally maded it to Homer Glen, IL the next day which is for those of you who don't know is where Matt is from.

Mississippi River
Mmm.... Cracker Barrell.

The Memorial
This was such an amazing place to visit they have great
display to honor the men and women of armed services and that
have fought for our country. I am so proud to be part of this country.
I am so thankful for all the men and women who have and are serving in
our armed services to protect this great contry we live in.

The Legandary house. The property was so big and the house was to.
The tourist guide said a lot of the stuff in the house is donated cause a few
years back someone vandelized a lot of the stuff in the home.

I had to take a picture of this cause it brought back
childhood memories and seeing all my Dad's Safety First stuff he had for work.

I was so afraid to get on this train I am afraid of heights and bees
and it was high and there were lots of bees.

The Chicago Reception
We had a lot of fun at the reception in chicago.
Like in Utah we had problems with the radio in
Chicago. Only instead of skipping the stero broke.
As soon as we found a stero that works we were able
to dance. Matt and I had our 1st dance; well it would the
1st dance in Chicago, but technically the 2nd dance as a married
couple. Matt's cousin Grace danced with us and she had to dance
with both of us at the same time. When Matt had disappeared for a
second she kept looking for him to dance with us again, but we found my
niece Karly and Grace, Karly and I danced.
It was so nice to see Matt's realatives again.
It was nice as well to have my family come to Chicago and for
Matt's family to make it to Utah.
We greatly appreiciate everyone's help to help make are
wedding a success!!!
We love you all!!!!

Bridal Shower in Springville
My sister threw me another bridal shower in Springville. We had a lot of fun. It was also good to see everyone here as well.

A blanket my Mom and Sister made me. I love blankets that people make than buying them.

Carson's Baptism
I can't believe Carson is already 8. It seems like he was just learning to walk. Time sure does flyby. I am so proud of Carson. He is one of the best nephew's an Aunt could ask for.
